What would a London council flat look like if you pumped it full of 75,000 litres of copper sulfate solution?
Find out by stepping into the magical, menacing world of Roger Hiorn‘s Seizure, commissioned for SE1’s Artangel (http://www.artangel.org.uk/projects/2008/seizure). The abandoned dwelling’s walls, floor, ceiling and bathtub are colonised by glittering deep-blue crystals.
The result? Strangely beautiful and haunting, especially after having stepped in from an unpretty Elephant and Castle street.
Hiorns has been nominated for the Turner Prize, but this work is his most extraordinary and visiting is absolutely free!
Arrive early or queue.
